CHURCH PEWS           CHURCH CHAIRS       PULPIT FURNITURE

There are "insider secrets" in every industry, and the church pew business (and chairs, etc) is no different from other industries.  In fact, since this is something that most folks only do one time during their lifetime, few people are interested in "revealing" what they do know.  Here are some of the secrets...

MAIN SECRET

The most important secret that you need to know about buying pulpit or chancel furniture is that pricing is controlled by the major pew manufacturers. Like a casket, the markup on an average pulpit is enormous!  If you buy your pulpit furniture from a pew manufacturer or even a catalog company, you are paying way too much.  Look for an independent cabinet shop, or ministry related services such as Pulpit Store, Arm, or Executive Wood  for much lower pricing.

PRICING

Expect to pay $1800 - $2400  from a pew company for a typical pulpit such as the Victory Style above.  A discount catalog service would offer it for $1500-1600.  Some church related groups (Amish, Mennonite, etc) will offer this same pulpit for $1495.  Shop around - you will be amazed!

Elim Style Pulpit

This style pedestal pulpit, sometimes called the St. James or Elim Style, would be $2600 from a pew factory, $1690 from a Church Bookstore, or $1490 from a discount pulpit provider.

BUY SETS AND SAVE

If you buy your pulpit, tables, and minister chairs (and other furniture) in a set, you can save with a package discount from most retailers.  Be sure to ask about pick up options as well as delivery.  Delivery fees can eat up your savings if you are not careful.
